A SUNNY WEEKEND AT MONT-SAINTE-ANNE STARTING WITH A BEACH PARTY! Beaupre, April 3rd 2003 – This is it, the VOLKSWAGEN SPRING MADNESS FESTIVAL AT MONT-SAINTE-ANNE is finally here! Festivities start on April 5th and 6th with multiple and varied activities for everyone. The Weekend Beach Party « For a Flirt » brings celebrations at the mountain all weekend long; the Mélanie Turgeon’s day on April 6th will not only present our World Champion to visitors but it is also a children fund raising event as well. The Instructors Challenge will join this busy weekend on April 5th and 6th with instructors from all over Canada.
WEEKEND BEACH PARTY « FOR A FLIRT » On April 5th et 6th, it is a summer foretaste at the mountain with sundecks, music, beer and cocktails! A special Louisiana necklace contest will also be held this weekend. Trade special favors for flowers! Alambic will also be part of the party with its band of 9 members for Saturday’s après-ski!
MÉLANIE TURGEON’S DAY On April 6th, we pay tribute to our new World Champion, Mélanie Turgeon ! Some privileged ones will ski in her company in the morning while others will surely take up the opportunity in the afternoon for an autograph from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. inside the west aisle of the main chalet. This meeting with the public is preceeded by a fund raising corporate event to the profit of Mélanie Turgeon’s fund which is administrated by Sun Youth Operation. The money raised will be reinvested in the social health of children living distress and difficulties.
Also part of this special day program is a dog master demonstration and a live “harfang des neiges”, courtesy of the FAPAQ. Djembes and african dancers will entertain us for a memorable après-ski!
